hey guys,

mid way through an engine conversion on my civic, just one thing i dont understand is the ecu's.

the ecu that im using is my jdm 96 spec integra type r ecu

the car itself is a 1993 civic, the engine thats in it ( which im completely unfamiliar with ) is a d15z1???

from my understanding is a obd1??

basically i just want some ebay links to the conversion harness that i need?

or, a link to the harness elsewhere prefer an australian based link as i want it asap!!

thanks guise!

Your ecu is obd2a

So you need an obd1 to obd2a harness.

Took me 30 seconds to Google it and get the answer.

You should try it one day.

thanks man, i have googled it also.

must love trolling and telling people how good your google skills are!!!

i said i THINK! THINK! << (think being the operable word here! )

i dont know if the ecu is 100 percent obd1.. do you? if you do kindly state that!

ive been trying to find out more information on this engine, the reason im so unsure of it is because the only info i can find on it is all us forums, cant find much aus info on it, and i find it so hard to believe that it has had an engine transplant.

d15z1 is obd1

in fact ALL injected egs are obd1, even the eg6

as for the trolling, im not trolling, im dead serious.

All the of the information ive found is in the first couple of results when searching keywords on google.

"96 itr obd". found it on honda-tech.
"d16z1" found it on wikipedia.
"eg obd1"

What im trying to get across is that its been an hour since your first post, and im giving you information that you couldve found out in the first 10 minutes if you had simply taken the time to look it all up, instead of giving up.

hay guys, figured id post here rather than it being somewhere else, and being moved.

ive had a bit of a search, but nothing definative has come up.

im not very familiar with the inner workings of hondas, so please bare with me.

Im interested in an EG civic GL hatchback.

what is the differences in the dash/guage clusters between the models?

im planning on doing a b18c conversion sometime in the near future if all goes well.
it is a carburetted so im assuming this means that ill need the injected tank/pumps lines etc.
:)

Pretty sure you could have found that on google in a matter of minutes too.

Seems you were a noob at some point yourself and werent googling every question you had

But seriously, you're right.

I didn't use it so much. But now I use it for every single query I have. Because rather than asking question and having it answered 2 hours later, my problem is solved with 10 minutes of Googling.

And i just want to share this with people.

hey buddy.

just a few things to look out for in your 93 civic chassis original ECU loom when using Bswap motor. It may throw you one of the below CEL codes as this wire is actually missing on the wiring loom/harness.

Code 41 Heated oxygen sensor heater
Code 48 Heated oxygen sensor

The ECU pinout for this is = 14. PHO2S - Primary Heated O2

just keep an eye for this as this happend on a mates EG with a Bswap and was throwing him this CEL code. Turns out that the wire was missing. So we just ran a new wire directly from the ECU to the Heater O2 sensor.

Below are some useful info about ECU swaps etc.

Would OP need a secondary 4 wire o2 sensor otherwise the OBD2A ECU will throw a code?

dont think so, itr obd2a ecu dont need secondary oxygen sensor
i used a p73 itr obd2a ecu and didnt throw a code using 1 oxygen sensor
