Hi Everyone,

Just joined the forum, this is my first Honda, bought as a nice daily driver, however might consider a major build later down the track. If there are any tips to maintaining Integras well, please let me know!

It is a 90' Integra, completely stock inside out. Not really planning to modify it much at this stage, but will be installing a CAI system and perhaps some minor changes such as advanced timing, clear indicators, etc.

Im a fan of keeping older cars in tip top form, so if I find anything that has deteriorated from age, it will be refreshed.

Personally, I have a project car which is an MX83 Cressida running 2jz, manual, single turbo and all the fruit. Also have an old school Nissan Bluebird TRX as a weekender.

Cheers, Tommy

Heres an update:

Done a bit of maintenance:

-painted windscreen surround chrome bits
-refinished the rusty front centre bores
-got rid of the hubcaps and added new wheel nuts + valve caps
-added JDM Senior sticker
-fixed a couple common water leak areas
-good clean, detail, wax throughout and cleaned up the engine bay

Currently collecting parts for a major service down the track. Will be changing all filters, oil, timing belt and adding cold air intake, new plugs and wires, short shifter, etc. Looking forward to the end result, would be a great example of an Integra without overdoing it :)

Althought I cant really stand the 4x4 ride height, whats the cost to lower the car to a decent ride height? Also if anyone has factory steel wheels, I will be interested as a couple of mine dont match.

Took some decent pictures finally!

Can I suggest removing the rear wiper, looks tidy without it

Tommei

I was thinking to do that, but thought it was convenient to have a rear wiper for a daily driver haha. Instead I refreshed all my wiper arms and blades so theyre all brand new now :)

I love the steelies look when youre on a budget haha, but.. if everything goes well, I will have a set of Civic 5 spoke alloys on them soon! They looks a little like Simmons FR wheels, except Honda version, might be optional Im not sure

You could even get Ek side skirts which ever you like better. You could go jdm amber blinkers. If your trying to keep the stock look which is nice you could hook it up with OEM Honda rims. My bro's da has seen a set of fat fives and blades looked ok preferred the fat fives over the blades but best look would be em1 rims.

Ok time for an update.

I am currently upgrading the sound system in the car. But before I can progress any further I have to make sure the car is completely water tight. I need some new taillight gaskets as well as the small clear rubber grommets in the cowl. The taillight gaskets were quoted a ridiculous price from Honda so does anyone know any alternatives?

Anyway, heres whats going in for the sound system

Headunit:
-Basic Pioneer unit with single preout, adjustments and auxiliary (came with the car)
Speakers:
-MB Quart DWC-160
-Pioneer 2 way coaxials as rear fill
-twin 12" Pioneer subs from my Sigma (total of 300rms on 2ohm load)
-Alpine MRP-M500 500rms monoblock for subwoofers

Will be upgrading some grounding points too.

You can DIY the gaskets, just buy some adhesive water tight type foam and make template using old gasket

it's called Neoprene
No.Neoprene is for wetsuits, the foam for gasket is different and has an adhesive backing

Like this but in sheet form

won't be water tight unless it's neoprene.

I've DIY'ed those foam sheets, doesn't work.
