Hey guys, picked up a bargain FIA 4 point harness, but no idea how to mount it, especially the right side lap belt and the shoulder belts. The seat belt bolt is way too long and I can't find an eye bolt that's just as lengthy. As the for the shoulder belts is it ok just to mount them to the rear seat belt mounting points?

i dont believe you can mount the shoulder belts to the rear seat belt moutings. The most common way to mount the shoulder belts is to bolt them to a roll cage, either that or weld (and get engineered) some special seat belt mounting points onto the chassis. Find out with your local traffic authorities, i dont think 4 point belts are legal in street driven cars :S not 100% sure though. take some pictures if you install them :D

Hey Dude,
For my EG hatch i mounted the front left to seatbelt clip, front right to the rail for the original seat belt.
http://www.costlessbolts.com.au/ went there and purchased 2 eye bolts
and fitted the rear right and rear left to rear right and left passenger seatbelt bolts respectively.
hope it helps

Another way is to weld reinforced plates and drill holes but I don't wanna do that. I'm only putting the harness when I go to the track, so don't worry. Check my build thread for updates and pics!!

Thanks dude, but still doesn't solve the dilemma, I need much longer bolts for the B-pillar seat belt mounting, at least 2inch long. Am thinking about mounting it to the seat rail's right rear side...wonder if that's load bearing enough...
