As above, restore or replace with glass parts (which don't fade like the plastic ones).

Metal polish and a micro fibre cloth or a headlight restoration kit work wonders

LOL............... "installation of the cigarette lighter"..

Edit: Would it work by using like, 2500 grit sand paper and try sanding down that stuff and using plastic polish?
AND HOW'D YOU GET TO BE A MEMBER TRUNG! Damn you..

squirt some toothpaste on the headlights, polish it with a microfibre cloth, then hose it off with water. it works. if you want to waste money then get the headlight restoration kits.

Autosol works too. Just make sure to mask off the painted parts around the headlight.

I purchased some Mcquiares Scratch x, applied a small amount on my rotary buffer, and buffed the light lenses at a slow speed.

Then you can apply some wet look polish by hand to give it a good shine, remove it with a clean microfibre cloth -works magic, makes them looks brand new.

Had the same problem with both my lights.
Bought the Turtle Headlight Restorer Kit suggested by MCM and dam it works wonders.
Even got rid of some primer that had been dripped on the headlight.
