EK hatch alignement issues?

gday ladies and gents

i've just rescently purchased a full set of 4 bridgestone RE002's

currently mounted on white TE37's 16x7 +42 205-45-16

got the car aligned and air pressure from shop was 38

when i first drove it in the afternoon from the shop, the steering was VERY light, car felt really wobbly and i didnt feel comfortable going into and out a corner (even roundabouts,felt very weird, as i was used to my old tyres running 30psi front and 32 psi rear)

can someone advise me if the settings are currently fine or is it just plain wrong? the tyre fitters used the settings from a EK civic hatch Vti (SOHC VTEC) but i have an EK9, should the values be any different?

something isnt right, currently deflated the tyres to 32 front and 34 rears

I would suggest keeping tyres at 38 Fr 36 Rr, but the toe figures are all over the shop and your caster is incorrect.

Do you have adjustable arms for camber and toe?

no i dont, car is standard on standard suspension

what values should i be looking at tho senna?

i realised the front end settings seem very out of wack ( left vs right)

what do i do? i'm sooooo confused!

been in an accident that you weren't aware of?
check for any signs of repair

Whats not right? i mean are you talking about the drive or just thinking the figures are not right?

An easy check to see if your caster is an issue is to measure from the back of your front tire to the arch in a strait line toward the rear of the car, measure that same distance on both sides being as accurate as you can be, if your left wheel is back alot more than the right then its likely the car has had a knock at some point..

a civic will hide a caster difference like that id say at worst that car would have a mild drift to the left?

its likely a fairly easy fix maybe a caster correction bush should remove that difference, anything from 30 to 40 minutes of difference in caster on a front wheel drive should be fine you currently have a 1deg10minutes difference

were in Melbourne are you? i dont mind looking at it for you see if things a bent or if the car was not swept properly.

as for what car they used in the machine thats only a reference point it has/makes no difference to your car and what your car has been adjusted to you have to remember your car is only toe adjustable front and rear so the alignment guy cant do a thing about your camber or caster..

Not too sound presumptuous (i don't know you or your mechanical ability), but you can't fix this yourself easily. I would suggest taking the car to a suspension and alignment specialist that can align the car properly (not going off factory specs for an incorrect model) and if the alignment can't compensate they should be able to recommend a product to correct it.

Rather than arm you with enough info to be dangerous, i'd say that your caster is wrong and your toe settings are wrong. Go to a shop and tell them that the last aligner left your car like this and you would like it fixed.

As mentioned earlier keep your tyre pressures higher, it will keep the tyre on the road properly and the side walls won't flex as much causing vague steering and tram-lining
