Hi Guys,

DA6 Struts are making noises once i go over speed bumps, i've been told that they need replacing.

Due to my lack of knowledge in cars i've been reading on the web...

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-87650.html

After I've read that I believe I can buy coilovers to replace those struts/springs

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Acura-Integra-90-93-Adjustable-Coilover-Coil-Over-kit-Coilovers-F-8kg-R-5kg-/390406340947?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae6080153

or

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SKUNK2-Sport-Shocks-DRAG-Coilovers-90-93-Acura-Integra-GS-LS-RS-GS-R-DA-/280714470621?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item415be2e4dd

Are these suitable to replace the struts/springs?

Sorry if the question is noob/been asked before, going through the learning process :;)

Thanks

yep, both of those are fine.

they will give you easy height adjustment, and will be a firmer rider than stock.

To fit either of those you will need to change your lower control arm to a DA9 one at the rear. No big deal and they are easy to come across. He DA6 that you have, has the 'box' type LCA, same as the Type R Integra.

Swapping the LCAs is the easiest option, otherwise there are coil overs or shocks made specifically for the DA6 or you can use the Type R options. Keep in mind if you go Type R you will need to change front shock forks and the rear of the car will sit lower than normal, although with coil overs this is rarely an issue (as long as you mean to stay lower than stock height)

Wow, thanks guys.

Mooshie, appreciate you pointing that out. do you mean DC2R or DC5R LCA or either one will do?

If i am required to change the lower control arm at the rear which seems like to be the cheaper option.

will these be suitable? is it just the rear that i have to change?

SKunk2 DA9 Coilovers $750approx + LCA $200 = $950.

DC2R/DC5R coilovers are $1050+ but they will allow me to have a larger market if i resell them.

You would need dc2 ones as the dc5 ones are different
