Hey guys.

Today I popped the bonnet to see that a hose connection in between my injen cold air intake system and my engine disconnected. I've been told this would not have caused damage to the engine.. only not idle 100% and not perform the its maximum capability as I was concerned about it.. This afternoon I connected it back (noticed the performance difference straight away) and I popped the bonnet agian 30 mins ago and it was disconnected so I'll just pick up a new hose along side with clips from honda in the near future.

Thoughts and opinions if I would have caused damage..? I don't know how long its been disconnected for or how it happened as the day I installed it it was 100%. I imagine it's been disconnected for a long time.

Cheers.

I also found out mine was dc some months back (with stock intake at the time), and I believe it was dc for a long time too. I dont believe it would cause damage.

Noticed a fair difference in response once connected back. Engine always been running strong. I wouldn't worry bout it.

Hey Nathn!

What you need to do is adjust your Injen CAI's position.

Technically if you had placed it 100% right [even a few degrees off (angle of the CAI)] can lead to the hose not being able to connect at all to it being just able to a tight fit.

If you can't get the position right and it always pops off and on... go down to Autobahn or wherever and get some plastic hose and just cut it and replace it instead of using the stock one.

Just remember to make sure your clamps are clamped tight so it holds it down.

When my one kept popping off... I just unscrewed my connection to the battery holder and then mucked around with the CAI's position and magically it fitted perfectly and never came off LOL.

nice, nice. I bought screw clamps for it and put it on to hold it together for now. When its better weather I'll look at re-positioning.
