boring out centrebore on wheels

People have told me to call up machine shops to get my wheels bored out to fit my hubs as the bore on the wheels are to small. My question being what are machine shops and what am i looking for in the yellow pages?

I would just look for a wheel specialist in your area. Someone that repairs wheels. They should be able to help you out
