Hey guys need advice
I'm running 205 50 16 with the slip stream and it's just a little bit lowered and it's scrubbing bad & I don't think rolling the guards with help.
Will going a different tyre size help.
like 195 50 16 or lower profile.
Btw +40 offset
My old vtir wheels had 205 50 15s with no issues
Really appreciate your help guys
yeah youd be scrubbing on the splashguards above... i had that problem when i was running spring / shock combo... when i changed to coilovers i didnt have an issue anymore due to the stiffness... What is your car lowered on? I had this exact same problem so i'd like to help you as much as possible aye.. cause i know how annoying it is and how stuffed my tires got...
205 45 16 should minimize most of the scrubbing (helped me when i ran my mates wheels with those tires).. but 195 45 16 would be even better (although i havent had experience with this myself.)

It's dropped 2 inch all round.
Not sure what tyre to go

It's standard shock and compressed springs
Id say 195 45 16 to be the safest bet... If you cant get away with that... Proper lowering springs would probably be the go.

Dude 205/50/15 is way too fat no wonder your rubbing
I believe since stock is 195/55/15 for a 16" wheel you should have been running 205/45/16 or 195/50/16 or like above post 195/45/16 to clear you of any probs.

It's standard shock and compressed springs
thats why youre scrubbing..
the compressed springs have now being heaps soft..the spring rates all changed.
Get proper springs.

205 45 16 should fix your problems, your current tyre is too tall.
Haha of course im right.... Im talking from experience with king springs. :)

Spoke to the tyre place and they said there happy to replace my Tyres for free.
So 195 50 16 are my best bet or 45 series
205 /45/ 16 will be better than 195/50/16 but 195/45/16 would be ideal...

Too much confusion lol.
Dunno what to go now.
pretty simple... dont get one with a 50 profile... 195 45 or 205 45 are your best bets --'

Safe to go 205 45
Yep.. but 195 45 is preferable if they stock it.

They stock both.
Ordering 195s then just to be safe

Why would 195 be preferable over 205?

195 for more clearance just to be safe, 205 would be more grip!:)

So went to mega Tyres in somerton rd and they happily changed over my Tyres for free.
So I got 195 45 16.
Bit of a gap in the guards now prob should of stayed 50 series.
The 205 50 I had on them looked tuff as but rubbed hard.

Get coilovers... or better springs that are actually for lowering the car... (the extra stifness would have been the difference in scrubbing or not)
