imo, they look pretty funny on the track. Awkward family sedan in middle of track vs mustangs - surely they're just safety escorts or something?

Nice. I'm pretty sure this team used to race the cl9 as well. They are quite successful if I remember correctly.

I wonder what the engine and drivetrain setup is ?
Apart from massive weight reduction lol

You euro boys , take note !

In the US they race different classes all at the same time, similar to what the Le Mans 24 hours race does. So you will find lower classed cars running together with Chargers, Vipers etc.

The race against Boss 302 Mustangs and Posche Caymans in their class - so they're correctly competing with them...and winning.
I think the drivers must have balls the size of zeppelins.

Damn, that's nice. There was nothing wrong with the CU2 or the CL9's chassis to begin with, I mean wishbone all round, come on, it's practically designed for this stuff. Only complain on the CU2 was pretty much the same engine, but a gain in 200kg in weight. In racing though, where they get rid of all the weight and improve the engine, the extra track and wheel base makes it more competitive than the CL9.

Most likely they are using the V6 motor not the I4 thou.

^ yea. but even then their competing against the v8 lineups so u could sorta say their still 2 pistons down? they've only made the switch to the v6 models Feb this year.

Just for others info, the team is called RealTime Racing and yeah they did race with cl9's and were pretty successful with it as well.

CL7/9 faster on the Touge than the DC5R/EP3R if you can believe that...

A team sponsered by 5Zigen raced CL7/9s and Spoon has raced a Legend at the 24hr too so talking about weird XD

From memory I've seen them in various production and enduros in Asia too inclusive of the Macau GP.

Realtime racing has been racing Acuras for ages now... started with the Integra, then the RS-X, then CL9 and now CU2. They are in the SCCA World Challenge Series. Civic SIs are being raced in the Grand Am Continental Tire Series..

Sequential gearbox right there........ Maybe it is just the CU2 in shape. I bet the chassis has been spot welded and reinforced heavily to the point where it is a totally different beast to a CU2 road car.

and the best thing about these is the fact that even as your heart-rate soars pumping adrenaline to every part of your body as you heeel-toe into the apex, 5 cm behind the car in front of you, you still have the luxury of heated electric seats keeping your ass cheeks warm and sat-nav to guide you incase you get lost on the track.

sup guys..im from the states. these tsx (euro accord) are 4 cylinders, not 6. aside from massive weight reduction, i believe it was either running a different intake manifold (?) or the cl9's engine, since the cu2 engine has a cast in header.

i will try to find the correct information, but that's what i remember from the top of my head
