Hi guys trying to figure out my new brake setup here, will this work on a eg civic.

DC2R front calipers
282mm disc 4x100 (I recall jdmyard sell these but cant find now?)
dc2 vtir or ek vtir steering knuckles (even though they use 262mm disc the 282 caliper will space out right?)

Rear, stock eg 242 disc setup.

dc2r booster, bmc & prop valve.

Thanks

Yeah it will work. you need the 3mm spacer from jdmyard. Prelude 282mm 4x114 rotors and redrill to 4x100. Bang for buck setup

Where to buy those 282 rotors? Somebody used to sell them already drilled 4x100 from memory.

jdmyard should have some dba prelude rotors. Im sure they can redrill for you aswell but they are moving atm so that might take abit longer. if not, ebay will have some.

If not, who can I enlist to redrill for me? In Melbourne.

Another concern I had is that the booster, bmc and prop valve are for 282f and 262r, but I'm running 242r will that cause any problems?

Contact Yonas @ JDMyard to re-drill and send to you. Shippings not that expensive anyway.

i just got my bb4 rotor and re drill, if you can get it straight off the shelf 4x100 282mm rotor, go for it.
it costs me $120 per pair to re drill 4x100 rotors.

that brake set up you got there is very effective, i wonder what engine is in the EG. cos as far as i know, the 262mm with decent pads were doing a great job with my EG b18c2.

now i got turbo, so i upgrade to BB4 calipers, rotors, 3mm spacer from JDMyard $55 shipped and project Mu pads.

actually wilwood brakes are not that expensive, and they are massive 12+ inchs
the kits cost USD ~1000, but they wont ship to Australia directly from the manufacturer. but they did give me a shop which they could. however i didnt go any further because i got my bb4 brakes.

so if you know someone in USA, you could ask them to send it for you.

Will wood brakes have no dust boot and aren't recommended for daily driving.

My car has a b18c7 but will be getting tracked so do want the good brakes.

Mocchi - do you know about spacing out the caliper with washers instead of spacing the discs?

that doesnt make sense. if you put washer between caliper/knuckle, it would 'decrease caliper offset' and move caliper more outwards (closer to wheels)

you want to 'decrease rotor offset' so it would move more out by putting spacer between rotor/knuckle.
or
'increase caliper offset' so caliper would move more inwards by shaving caliper bracket.
or
get rotors with lower hat by 3mm from itr stock hat height

Guys one more question with regards to this. Is it worth getting dc2r booster & bmc or can I just get the bmc and use my stock eg breeze booster?
