noob km question about engines

People change their engines and their km for the engine doesnt match up with the cluster obviously but how can you tell what the km are on the engine? cause people might lie about their engine?

Well you can't.
You need to rely on their honesty.

if people lie then theyre fgts. it depends if you can trust them or not

the best is probably get the engine/car checked by a mech (road test and other tests) to see if the motor is healthy but still you wont be able to determine the exact kms lmzo

Dosn't really matter how many kms .... even a low km motor can be unhealthy a high km motor can healthy just depands man. Take it to a mechanic if you dont trust the guy. Best is to do the conversion yourself.

Probably a good question to ask is; What made them change the engine in the first place?

Leakdown test , open the valve cover cap and see the oil, you can check blow by if too much air/gas is getting out of the valve cover cap, compression test, check for leaks all over the engine
