View Full Version : New sparkplugs 3 went back and one went white what the?

Hi guys

I put in 4 new sparkplugs into my D16Y1 coze I'm using a bit of oil:(

OK three went black in two weeks and one went white in the middle whats this from?

Should they go black that quick?

PS its stopped using so much oil but still use's a bit

Ok the rest are brown/black but why is one white in the middle?

Tho there more black than brown :rolleyes:

maybe your got a bloked injector on that cylinder, running lean on that one cylinder.

injector clean is always good
worn rings and valve stem seals cause oil burn

Yeah Im blowign smoke to :(

think my rings are gone :thumbdwn:

Or valve seals are gone, whats the more likey?

depends when it blows smoke.

under acceleration when you boot it
or
under deceleration and when you 1st start up the car ??

under acceleration when you boot it but not all the time only sometimes :rolleyes:

i would tend to say rings if its blue smoke.
it all depends on engine load.
