I wouldn't bother running the ITR TB/IM unless you have a cam upgrade too and probably some port work. I've done all that, not tuned yet, but runs nicely at the moment.

i would not use AEM intake... i would use the type r one..
also as others have said.. if you dont have any upgrade cams then no point of just getting type r im/tb.. unless you will get the whole package... type r cam gear, cam shaft etc etc

Which would you advise between "type r cams" or "cam shaft" ?
For good midrange response

4-2-1.
has more of a "scavenging" effect on the escape of exhaust gases from the pistons. this in turn creates a vacuum inside the chambers which pulls in more air when the intake valve opens. very small forced induction effect and is shown to be more effective than 4-1 for the b16a and b18c.

i've read up a fair amount of bad history with AEM. Stuff like cracking and rusting etc.
I went fujita and have been happy since, just make sure that its got ceramic coating on it so the pipe doesn't get hot.
Also, it came with a vibra mount (i don't know if the others have it too, but it comes in really handy).
Do you have the stock box on it now? leme know how you go with the U-pipe LOL! such a biach to remove!
I also put in 4-2-1 5zigen headers. It proved itself to improve drivability as the car seems to have more kick off the line than stock.
My only problem now is the exhaust is WAY too loud with my high-flow cat.. my only concern with the stock exhaust is bottle necking.
Anyone tried that set-up?
As for a CAI run a nice length stainless steel pipe off your intake manifold. Keep a pod filter located in the engine bay in the exact location as your OEM airbox, Then run a black flexi pipe from your bumper vent upwards through to an open hole feeding your pod filter with a sufficient supply of cold air. In the case of heavy downpours and flooding your pod filter isn't located somewhere where it may be submerged or prone to sucking up water. Got a setup like this on my car and the water will never make it up the flexi pipe to your pod filter.
You can purchase them at autobahn I believe for around the $30 mark.
