Hey chaps, i want to trial fit another fuel injector to see if it seats withing the rail and manifold on my d-banger, but dont know exactly how to go about it, any tips or diy would b great :)

Id assume it would be same for any other b-series or k-series engine

pop the fuel rail off, grab the injector and in a twist/pulling motion, the injectors should pop off. it's just held in by o-rings so it might be a bit stuck from the dry rubber.

The fuel injectors are secured into its place by the fuel rail with the help of 5-6 bolts (10mm). You might need to move some of the line brackets to reach a few of them but after you remove the bolts, you should be able to pop the rail off. It may be hard at first - but a quick even tap would do the trick. Don't scrap your arm now. Lol

Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel cap first, and have a rag hand as it will piss a bit of fuel out. In order to see if the injectors fit - you need to tighten the whole thing up again with all seals in place and prime the pump and check for leaks (ON position). Un-clip the harnesses carefully, by now they'll be brittle - and don't' forget to unlock the locking pin (slide both ends out of the groove).

Goodluck.
