my rpm jumps up a little bit then when i turn them off the go down to 500 rpm and make the sound

Check ur idle speed 500rpm is kinda low. It could be the ivac or idle or dirty Throtle body. That's why u hearing this sucking sound

And not to be confused with, the whale penis + the large pod filter makes a nice, loud induction sound (air sucking sound.), as we know that the intake itself isn't the issue.

check the sensors on throttle body.
give them a good clean.

If you're idling that low it could be shaking stuff around like the whale dick which would cause a 'humming' sound but really, it's just vibrating.
Check to see if it's loose.

I know when my idle drops to under 800, all the loose bits in my car start to vibrate and make strange noises.

but yeah, usually if you stroke the penis it fixes the issue :P

yeaa i put the stock box back on it it still does it but not that loud and just before i took the pod off while the car was runing making the sound and put my hand in the whale penis and it stopped i can feel the air vibrating throught the whale penis i think its just vibrations that are making it sound like thatt
