So after 2-3 months, I finally installed baboo's Eibach prokit springs, as well as my newly accquired Whiteline rear swaybar.

You all know about the springs, so I won't go into detail. The swaybar is 18mm thick, while the stock one, from measurement, is actually 14mm, not 12mm as I first thought. Either way, 4mm may not seem much, but it's actually 173% increase in stiffness (according to Whiteline (http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/bulletins/010barup.pdf)).

Impressions
It's been 2 days since I've installed these items and so far it's been impressive. Biggest problem I've harped on about the Accord is the massive body roll, and that problem has been solved and I'm really happy about it. Not sure if it's the springs or the swaybar but either way, I've been able to corner more sharply and exiting corners with much less unwanted weight transfer, hence a much soild feel to the car.

Ride of the Eibach is better than I expected. At first I expected the springs to be very harsh on the ride, but to my amazement, it's actually very close and even at times better than the stock springs (not sure if it's just and psycological thing). Only gripe I have is speed humps!!

So these are my initial thoughs on my new mods. Yet to visit my local "proving grounds" for more thorough testing.

nice!
im going to get my eibachs real soon as well but at the same time im thinkin of gettin shocks to go with it. possibly koni yellows.
either that or i'll go with the type flex coilovers.....

but anyway, good to hear that the suspension has been improved. if u dont mind me asking, where did u acquire the whiteline swaybar?

Did u do before and after measurement on the height?
Eibach claims prokits will lower Euro 30~40mm( on thier wensite)
did they actually lower that much?

It would be great if u have taken before and after pics and show us!

Nice slugoid...how does the rear sway bar feel? does it give you more neutral steering feel or oversteer a bit?

I've taken pics on my dodgy camera phone. Will upload them later today.

SSML: 30-40cm sounds about right. With stock 16" rims the tyres just cover the gap with a 10mm clearance. Make me wanna get some 17" or 18", but I'm so poor now :(

Baboo: With everyday driving I get the impression it's more neutral steering, with a hint of oversteer. I can't really say much now until I test it a bit more or when it's near it's limits.

It's not very low, but somehow with 16's it looks kinda weird. I need some 17's. I'll get some full car shots once it's washed this weekend.

Slugoid: Thanks for the BEFORE & AFTER photos. it is definitely lowered. and the ugly gap to the wheel arch has reduced greatly. Good on you.

Full car shots will be coming once I've washed the car. It's not black anymore....it's grey :o. Don't think you guys wanna see that.

Impressions after month:
The ride is quite good, close to stock feel but more stable. Problem I find now is that the shocks don't suit the spings well, esp with aussie road. Go over the speed hump and the back seems to be really bouncy. It's left me thinking whether I should get my shocks revalved or go for the full Koni shocks I've always wanted. With the car being lower now, the 16's look a bit out of place, so I need to replace those if I have enough money. Argh....so much things I need/want to do!!

Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I'll just shoot the question here.
What is the part number for the eibach pro-kit for our euro?
I've looked it up at US website (Acura TSX), it's 4045.140, but on the Germany's website (Honda Accord CL9) it's 10-40-008-03-22.
Which one is for ours?

Slugoid
21-05-2005, 12:30 AM
I'm not too sure on that one, cos I got them off baboo 2nd hand. I'll check the box tomrrow for you.

Logicially thinking, the CL9 would be the best match for us, since there could be a possibility the TSX one's aren't 100% optimised for out Euro's.

That is nice Slugoid! Your number plates are REALLY close to mine - you must have got your car within days of mine.

I would've thought they are the same, just have different part number for different regions.

Btw, great photos! I smell luxury all over it!:D

Euro77...the part number for the Eibach Prokit is 0-40-008-03-22.

Has two lot of items in the set
11-40-008-03-VA - front X2
11-40-008-01-HA - rear X2

When you get it, it's actually for the "Accord Limousine". I think that's like sedan in german or something.

Hey nice pics Slugoid...

I have seen the Eibach prokit on special at Donnellans for $550 installed.

I got a quote for it together with 18s (wheels and tyres) and they were doing it for about $450-500 installed!

I am so keen to get it done...just have not found the time and am not sold on a set of rims yet!

I've already asked about the eibach pro-kit a few weeks ago at donnellans but they've sold it they say.

Nickt

Dunno about that...I went to Box Hill and Preston and both said they could do it.

Maybe because I was bundling it with the wheels/tyres and not asking for it on its own...

Which Donnellans did you go to Euro77?
