Hello. I have given up on my civic and am going to be making the switch to a integra. What i am after is a 95 vti-r in silver with factory mags. Am i likely to find one did they bring out teg's with silver? i want under 150,000 hopefully and to be as stock as possible. Do you think this will be possible? looking to spend about 15-16 grand.
Thank you

if you are willing to sepnd 15-16 then it's possible i guess. i don't think they made silver in that year though...someone is bound to correct me but i think they only made silver integras from about 98 onwards i think (or whenever it is that they updated it). and then it might be just gsi but i'm pretty sure there was a vtir? hrmm....

I paid 12,300 for mine on friday...it was a late 93 with 138,000 kms on the clock completely stock and in good condition. some would say 15/16 is too much...but i've been looking for an vtir for about 3 months now...money hasn't even been the problem - it's actually finding a vtir, and then finding one that's completely stock, and THEN finding one that hasn't been thrashed. IMO if you do come across one that is stock/hasn't been f*cked with...with low kms...paying 15 or 16 for it is not all that unreasonable despite what people might tell you ("my mate bought his for 13").

If you're not in a huge hurry...take your time...cos it's a damn hard car to find

Yeah i think silver only 98+, but ive seen 98 vti-r's advertised for 18k, so you could probably bargain that to around 16?

ohhh this is gonna be a tough couple of months. I drove around all of brisbane today and only found 2 honda integras for sale in car yards! i was out for 5 hours as well. I wont be buying through a dealer. But bloody hell this is gonna take a while to get the car i want. If you find a nice integra or wanna sell yours plz let me know!

just to take note integras tend to have transmission problems....well the bearing inside it anyway tend to break and make ur car really loud wen ur driving it...a way to test it is just start the engine step on the clutch and let go hear da difference if its a stock car shouldnt b much diff at all if u can hear a diff distinctly it'll cost round $850 to change all da bearing alone not including labour cost...and da longer u leave it da worst it gets as it stuffs up ur input shaft which is a bit more to fix too so yerr just a lil somfing to look out for

I've been thinking about selling my Integra VTiR for a while. 1999 model, silver, totally stock, 67000kms, log books from day one, only two owners. totally perfect condition, just serviced recently.

But I'll be asking around $18k not negotable, so I guess thats a bit out of your budget :)

I know exactly what you mean, exactly... Brisbane is hard to find integras, believe me, i waited like a good 6months looking around. even missed 1 in syd that had leather seats! sold for asking price in the 2nd day for sale.

so yeah they are hard to find, but i've noticed a few silver ones...i reakon just wait...good things come to those who wait. I wanted black. got black. and glad i waited for black. its that winning combination. the year u want, the price u want, the condition you want, the colour u want, the transmission you want...gave me lots of headaches tryin to find 'the one'.

And yeah dealers in brisbane are so pricey, cant believe it. best to check trading post + carsales. and possibly auctions. but yeah, im sure u know all this.

Best of luck with your search.

Yeah, all depends what KMs and year model you want. Low KMs, log books, and a latest model (ie 1999) would always go for a bit more.
