Hi guys, I have a really heavy smell coming from what seems to be the rear of my engine. It is instantly noticeable after I get out of the car after driving it but is gone after 2 hours or so. I only do medium runs in the car 30-40kms at a time so I can't tell you if it is immediate or only after a decent drive.
It is hard to describe the smell. I know it isn't burning oil though. ( I wish I had smellovision to share it with you)
Does anyone have any idea what it might be? I will be taking the car in for service soon and am not sure if it can wait until then.

Clutch smell maybe?
As you said, hard to tell without smellovision ;)
Probably far off, but no slow coolant leak onto exhaust ?

You've done the power steering hose recall right?
The burning smell is what first alerted me to my leaking hose.

how long you been having the smell for?
could be something as simple as a plastic bag thats melting on the exhausts
happened to me once, took about a week for the smell to completely burn off, smelt like toxic shit lol

Thanks for all the advice and comments guys.
Went to my Honda dealer today and they confirmed that it is the clutch.
They wanted $2300 to do the replace.
I have since bought an Exedy heavy duty clutch and will get it installed by my local mechanic.
Exedy and Labour $1200

Simple question, how many KMs have you done on the OEM to require a new clutch? Although I'm guessing you're clutch made such a bad smell because it was slipping a lot.
