wierd squeeling noise.

Noticed the other day at the race track (redrooster drivethru) the car is making a squeeling noise i have a slippping belt?

due for 110,000km service this monday just wondring what it might be. its like not constant its like a whooja whooja noise and it just on all the time, dunno how long its been like that as i cant hear it from in the cabin over the exhaust or music only when im at idle near a wall i can hear it.

There are a lot of factors which could be causing the squealing - your accessory belts could be worn out, your accessory pulleys (a/c p/s alternator etc) could be loose or in bad condition or they have just detensioned themselves over time (not too sure whether jazz has spring tensioner or manual adjustment). does it happen only when you turn on a feature? (say ac or rear demisters?)

Best to get it checked out at the service and get the accessory belts replaced :)

nah just at idle. no ac, ps is electric on jazz so it aint that.

Can you make a recording? Usually belt related.
