Saw some XForce headers for the DC2 VTiR...for $395
Just wondering what ppl's opinions are? Waste of money? Good value? Spend a bit more for something else? I don't know how much other brands cost and whether there's a huge dfference so any knowledge would be helpful

Ok bought a set for $350 and honestly they aint worht shit, they do gain power from them however they do not fit straight up to your car. The legnth is all wrong and the angle of the flange to the cat is also wrong. And the bracket that bolts up to the original headers is in teh wrong spot aswell. So unless you want to spend money modifying the rest of your exhaust to fit the headers i would not touch them. They are actually an american brand called OBX and they just put the Xfocrce sticker over the OBX printing on the box lol. Do yourself a favour and try and chase down some Edelbrock ceramic coated headers, they are a little more pricey but bolt up no problems and the ceramic coating does wonders for eng bay temps.

come on mate..someone source u the wrong header
as Xforce have 3 different header for B series engine
if u said yours is shorter and not long enough
i am pretty sure someone give u the H9498 for your VTIR
they should give u H9293 instead as that was for some rare USDM mate!
go and have a look at your box if u still keep it...
i have H9293 for my teggy and they FIT 100%

i just brought some x-force headers off someone off these boards.... he had it on his dc2r and i put them on my 94 dc2 vtir and they fit straight on... bolt up.. paid $150 and fitted for $100 ...
so all up $250 and it's on my car... gives my car a rex type rumble... sounds probably more like a rex then most wrx's!! LOL :P but top end it gains a little bit from the stock ones......

Honestly if you can source out some ITR headers i would rather spend my money on them then xforce.

Thank god my car came with Jackson racing extractors! I would say save some more and get something better! but one of the guys said the Xforce extractors it didn't fitt on his car all that well? I have Installed the same brand extractors to my bro's STI and there were no problems! but I would still save up and get something better..
I have XForce headers on my ITR and I don't mind them. For what I paid for, I am quite happy. I cannot justify spending another $1000 to get Toda headers and gain another 5kw at the wheels at most.

that 5kw atw isnt just gains. ur paying for a quality product which has been tested.

CL455: i get that same rexy type rumble from my car!! im glad someone else x force headers do this because i was getting worried something was wrong with my car...
but yeh i bought my headers off this forum also, they do the job for now, im not 100% happy with them but they were a good price, so they will do for now :)...since i put the headers on my exhaust has a small rattle, ive been told its the design and brand of the headers (XFORCE 4-1), i thought it was a leak btu ive had it checked and no leaks, anyone experienced any rattles from their headers?

Well i did get the part number from the web page and it was suited to my car and i also had a mate by a different part number x force header to suit his b18b motor and they also had the same problem. Taking the headers to the exhaust shop to fit and we were told he has seen this many times. Weather some of the headers fit or some dont im not sure. I am only retelling my expirience and no i dont have the headers anymore as i took them back and got my money back for the product, i went out and imported some edelbrock headers to suit a USDM GSR and wollah they fit 100% no problems. Though i wouldnt really want to buy an x force header as they are just a rebadged OBX header, wouldnt it just make more sense to just buy the OBX brand in the first place and hence save money, i think they also go under the name RACTIVE aswell.

they are good value for money, u can pay over twice as much for a name brand set but you wont get anywhere near twice the performance outta them

i darnoz if this is too off the topic but wats the diff with the headers??...arent they all made from the same material??...same length etc etc obviously der has to be somefing diff for that much of a price diff but i was just wondering wat it was...sorry if its da wrong place to ask this too..

Sorry guys as the model number on the XFORCE web site is not accurate
as they havent renew it for ages
if u guys have any problem u can ask me or ask trav
XFORCE is not equal to OBX
thats why u get the wrong part, just like what i said..xforce is no obx..
obx is for US
xforce is for AUS
and not even 1% related to Ractive.

what do the xforce reclinable seats look like?
hrmm yeah an answer to that last question would be good. i've always wondered what the difference is and how come it makes any difference at all?
I recommend them! Got them fitted to my 98 DC2 VTIR and had no probs! Great value for money too!
Nice solid gains in power in the low to mid range - and especially with a POD filter it sounds awesome!
As has been said before - be sure that the headers you get are the ones to fit the VTEC engine (which is the same as the US Integra GSR) otherwise they may not fit!
These Xforce headers are 4-2-1 whereas the ITR ones are 4-1....the difference being that 4-2-1 gives you a boost in the low to mid range but 4-1 gives you more top end power. Up to u!
xforce r good im rocking a set and im happy, had a dyno proven gain too :p

if u go for the ones that help low range...or high for that matter...how does it effect fuel consumption if at all?

So can some1 explain to me why when you take the X force sticker of the box they come in, you find a nice OBX printed logo on the box. HMMMMMMMMMM seems to me that they are an obx item, or is it that OBX trade as Xforce in australia, some1 educate me into this problem.
But i think i will stick with my edelbrock headers cause they actually bolted on first time without a problem, but as its pointed out the part numbers might be wrong, meh dont know dont care, they have lost my vote. Though as for a power gain out of them, they do actully deliver in that deparment, and price wise they are fairly cheap compared to other brands.

well may be when u buy the right xforce header at the first time and fit straight in, you will be impress. But here i can tell is none of the xforce headers need to modify to put on any DC integra and even EF, EG, EK civics..
as i said is the guy sold u the wrong one and make u feel bad about xforce
i dont think is xforce problem..why made u feel bad about it?
for the obx xforce thingy i dont have a clue, but if u see our box for the headers they are 100% made for xforce only and no funny stickers
u can ask all the guys in this forum who are using and selling xforce headers..

HAHA im at a loss as to why there was funny stickers on the box but the headers did have the x force badge on it so i was assuered that they were an x force product but maybe the place i bought it of was doing a dogey, /me shrugs.
Im not trying to discredit the x force brand, just relaying one of my expirinences not saying that its x forces fault, maybe i bought the headers of a **** head lol
