98-2000 CIVIC OEM Keyless entry

I have a aftermarket keyless entry installed in my 96-98 by the previous owner ....
And the radio is already removed... (Can't find it under central dash.)

I lost the only one remote for the keyless entry. It's a ebay brand,
and I decided use back the OEM keyless entry.

But I spotted that the green harness for OEM keyless entry still there.
Some people said 96-98 keyless needed the OEM radio to work. It won't work individual because the antenna is built in the radio.
It's a massive work go back for 96-98 one.

Will 98-00 keyless entry plug and play on 96-98 civic with 96-98 harness???
And the remote of 96,98 and 98,00 share the same frequency ??

I tried to do this on my 99 ek. had no luck. but as far as I've seen on ebay theres a unit called a receiver.( i just looked no couldn't find it) but they pop up all the time. and that will plug into ur harness. ( again on ebay) if you have changed ur cd player.

and why did you change your deck. the stock one is fine :D

if you've got keyless entry u might be worth taking it to strathfield car audio and get them to match the plug and give u a new receiver and remote.

ummm... think I should install back the 96 98 radio+keyyless unit rather than 98 00 keyless entry unit
