Is this coincidence or what? This was a response from a mate. I was asking him if I went Super Low springs, would I need any guard mods. This is his response. He has super lows on his Del Sol:

"As for the Guards, i didnt have to do any work, i have 205/40/17 and thats
with a 7.5 inch wide rims, and i think a 45 offset... u wont require any
work unless u put 215 tyres on there.... i scrub at full lock but its not
the actual metal guard, its the plasitc on the inside."

Hope this helps...

So yeh, with his 45 offset and 205 tyres he rubs at full lock on Super Lows. Hes saying that you might need some work if your puting 215's on there. Depends on what offset your new wheels are? And your Springs? Your tyres are 45 profile as well. :D

215/45 certainly isn't legal, and I think it would be an effort to fit them in. The rolling diameter is quite a bit larger than the usual 205/40R17...
