Currently I have my 04 lux stock 16' rim on my car. Planning to either get
1. 17' 05 Lux/Sport rim (spot a 2nd hand with 90% tyres for under $700)
2. ENKEI GTC01 17x8 48mm w 4 x Khumo Ecsta SPT (KU31) 235/40/17 tyres (at least 50% tread left)

Any suggestion?

at least they are JWL and VIA... unlike your XXR's etc people rock... or the ADV1's....

but application for the euro. Rota's are too heavy (being cast)

What do u guys reckon about xxr 521??
I like the stepped lip design, been looking a set for ages,
For the size of 18", only comes with 18x8.5 +35 or 18x10 +20
I think the later size just pushing too much, or go 16"??

18x10 +20 and make it fit.
massive fender/guard work and streeetched tires.

LOLjkz.....XXR.....LOL.....dont do it man....leave it stock in this case i reckon. Might be a nicer look than the XXR's =P

Yes I agree with Tranz.... stock look better than the XXR's...

Either Enkei or keep it stock :)

Since when did I have XXR's Mr Fred?

That. Was a general comment, wasn't directed at anyone in particular :-)

I would go for option 1 unless you wanna lower your car and possibly a bodykit.

As for above:
Rotas are heavier that higher quality wheels, they are also weaker and are known to break under stress.

All wheels break under certain level of stress, thats what JWL/VIA is for, it's just that Rotas are heavy because they are gravity cast, while other light weight wheels have low pressure cast/spun rim methods that delivers the same level of strength as JWL/VIA demands for certification while being lighter.

And rota copies other company's designs, like XXR

I would lower the car in the future, depend when can I find a cheap sets of coilover. But I may not go for bodykit, which cost 2k painted for some plastics. I would rather spend that money on parts that I can get from US/Hong Kong, etc
