DC2R BMC Differences Help

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone confirm if the two different types of DC2R master cylinders can still bolt up to the same booster?

From my understanding, the first master cylinder that was brought out had a shaft from the piston that stuck out from the unit. the second one doesn't.

what two differnt master cylinder?
96-97 vs 98-00?

pretty sure 98 onwards. As far as i know, honda revised the master clyinder with the piston sticking out to one with it internal or something. The internal one is the only one available from honda nowadays.
