hey all,

im looking at buying some 6UL wheels for my eg civic, but not sure what width to get.
would 15x8 fit easily on an eg, without rolling the guards? car does have coilovers.
Offset for the wheels is +36

also, would the tyre size 195/55/15 be sweet or look at other tyre specs?

thanks everyone.

ive had that combo on the front of my eg with 205/50/15 tyres and you definately have to roll your guards unless your car is a 4WD.

Yeah true

Would 15x7 or 15x7.5 be a better option?

guards rolled and ur sweet :)
im still in a pickle atm still trying to find out if 6uls will be fine with the 12.19" wilwood brake kit :(

out of them 2 i say 15x7.5

Benny recommended that to me:
15x8 all round
or
if you want a little stance, 15x9 fronts
15x8 rears

front what i remember i still needed to roll the guards even with 15x7s at the front. Just roll your guards it doesnt cost much.

i highly doubt 6Uls would clear those brakes...
youll most likely need spacers or 16 inch rims
16 inch rims would be my suggestion as youll probably need 20mm spacers

I'm currently running 15x7 wheels with 195/55/15 and guards aren't rolled but my current wheels have +35 offset

Guess I could roll them but if I don't need to then I wont

not a fan of 16"
see how i go maybe chase up a smaller wilwood kit
or else im gonna have to go brake shopping >.<

Can anyone else confirm what size wheels will fit or not without rolling the guards?

All depends on the offset, tyres and width man, it's hard to say unless you make a decision on what you want.

What do you want the wheels/tyres for? Do you want the Stanceworks look, where your wheels are wide, tyres stretched, cambered off its ass? Or do you want something more JDM, flush, functional, drives well?

I like setups that don't require all that messing around so I'd personally for 15x7 +35 knowing that I don't have to worry about that kinda stuff.

I do want a practical set up, for street and occasional track, but did also want something like looks nice and flush and not too thin and leaves a gap between tyres and guard

So I mean it's either 15x7 with a +36 offset

Or 15x7.5 with a +42 offset

Or 15x8 with a +36 offset

Just don't know

My current set up is 15x7 +35 and have no issues at all.

just measure how much space youve got left and workout what rim n tyre combo would fit.. theres too many factors to consider but if youre keeping the same alignment and height then i guess you can possibly workout which combo is best for you.

the space between the tyre and the fender.

the space between the tyre and the fender.

There's a fair bit
So If there is say over an inch I could go a wider wheel?
Is that what your saying?

No camber?

And guards not rolled?

You really only want to run 195/55 tyres or you want to run different size tyres ?

Whats the big hype about 6ul wheels? Can someone explain please :)

I've got 15x7 +36 all round with toyo r888 195/55/15, lowered roughly 2.5"

Fronts are ok but my rears needed a roll as they would contact on moderate cornering. Also semi slicks being chunkier.
You could probably get away with smaller size tyres
15x8 for rears i heard you need spacers else it would contact with something (someone confirm)

im not too phased on the tyre size... not sure what size wheel i can run with 195/55/15's though

im more concerned about the size of the wheels to get them fitted without rolling guards, camber kits and spacers...

no the 6UL 15x8s wont fit.. i guess if youre really tight on money just use spacers on your fender.

195 should be safe.

I had a 7" +40 with 205 and rubbed like fuk all. had to go 195, looks gay though, tyre too thin

Yeah they look thin hey
I got 195/55/15 on buddyclub 15x7 +35

Hmmmm don't know what to do

Ideally I want the 6ul rims just don't know what size to get.

Answers have all been a bit different

6ul's you need like 205+ to look nice IMO.

but 8" +36 with a 205 will rub the inside, offset way too high for daily. full lock turns gonna make some dirty noises

So 205/50/15 on my buddyclubs will scrape
Anything on 6ul will scrape

ahhah if u want fitment u gotta mutilate your car a bit

no stance no chance m8

you can pull 205/50/15 on your buddyclubs, just need a roll on the rears and trim the rubber lining up front a bit

you can get them and run them on ur car. do able with stock height.
if lowered then you'll need camber arms
once u get camber kit with them rims sack it and will look aiights :)

yeah car is lowered at the moment, and there is probably like a 2.5" gap between the guard and top of the wheel like looking at it .

i also emailed 949 racing, and they seem to think the 15x7.5 wheel would fit without camber or rolling guards.
