View Full Version : Water/Oil Gauge Sensor location??

HEY GUYS..

installing my gauges.. came to realise.. where the hell is the sensor for water temp or oil temp on a H22a or any honda engine??

HELP NEEDED!!

you cant use the standard sensors you have to use the sensors that came with your gauges. i put my temp sensor in the metal housing(drilled a hole and threaded it) it's connected to the block on the top radator hose. and i used a T-piece for the standard oil pressure sensor and connected my autometer sensor to the T-Piece. i assume you put the oil temp sensor in the oil pan??

typicly the temp guage sender is on the distributor side of the head, under the dizzy

i tried that.. i unplug the three plugs from the sensors..

turn the car on.. the temp gauge on dash still went up normal
lolz

losted!!

The temp gauge sensor is the thin sensor (1/8" PT thread) with only a single wire connection. Not sure where it is on a H22A though sorry. But it's under the VTEC solenoid on a B16A ;)

wat color is the wire.. on one of mine.. its the green one i think

There are around 2-3 water temp sensors I believe :)

yes its the single wire one.

the two wire one in the pic is the ECT
