View Full Version : NSW Can you get defected when driving someone elses car?

Say, you're taking out your dad's 240z to the servo to fill it up, and a highway patrol pulls you over and gets you for having less than 35% tint and car being too low, would you get defected/points onto your license even if the car is not in your ownership?
A lot of people have told me that you cant, unless you actually own the car.
Are they right or are they wrong?

Yes you can. You are driving the car, so you need to make sure it is in roadworthy condition and registered. It is YOUR responsibility

OP - you are kidding right ?
The second you grab the car keys you are liable and responsible of the vehicle you drive , its issues and passengers.
