Say, you're taking out your dad's 240z to the servo to fill it up, and a highway patrol pulls you over and gets you for having less than 35% tint and car being too low, would you get defected/points onto your license even if the car is not in your ownership?

A lot of people have told me that you cant, unless you actually own the car.

Are they right or are they wrong?

thanks guise! :D

Yes you can. You are driving the car, so you need to make sure it is in roadworthy condition and registered. It is YOUR responsibility

OP - you are kidding right ?

The second you grab the car keys you are liable and responsible of the vehicle you drive , its issues and passengers.

Liability goes to the driver.

Now put the fine in an envelope and mark it as Happy Fathers Day
