Agreed smells like main relay.

If you run it, car stalls and won't restart, does it restart after like 5min?

Does the engine still turn over? Check your fuel pressure when this happens

Yeah just gotta pull it out and re-weld the spots on the back.

Harder than I just made it sound, but DIY-able :)

Not sure if you can see this if you're not logged in, so let me know via PM if you can't see it.

It's for an '88 CRX, so you get the main idea. You'll need to source a EK4 workshop manual to confirm the location and steps for removal of the main relay. If you don't have the manual post here and somebody will point you towards one :)

Actually, looks like you can't see it if you're not logged in.

Sign up, make an intro thread (nice forum for CRX enthusiasts) and check out the thread I posted.

i would still solder it, i had exactly the same problem with my car. If i stalled it the car wouldn't turn back on for a min. The solder on the main relay looked ok as well. Now that i have re soldered it no more problems.

I had the exact same problem. Main relay looked good to the eye, but soldered it anyway. Worked like new again.
