hey guys i got a idling issue
it would idle at about 1.5k RPM - 2k RPM if i tap the accelerator it would go back down to about 1k then go back up to 1.5k - 2k rpm
ive had the map sensor changed from my mates working teggy and its same shit.
i went to mechanics took them 2 hrs and they said its my IACV which they cleaned. and they cleaned all these other bullshit. charged me 80$ ..
they said its the IACV but i need to order from honda. no where else.
could it be the iacv .. ? mechanic seems noob.

yeah he took it out gave it a clean put it in same thing
just then when i was at home, i disconnected the cable coming from the iacv the idle dropped down a bit and stayed there. about 1.3k rpm. when i tap the accelerator it doesnt drop it under 1.3k then come back up like when its plugged in
so could it be this iacv ? mechanic said only honda has it have to buy genuine hes gonna call up tomorrow. Does anyone know a rough price on them or where i can get aftermarket?

would you guys know if all b series iacv fits ?
edit: also just come to think of it since with the iacv plugged in the idle will drop from 1.7 ish rpm to 1 ish
with out the iacv plugged in the idle will drop to 1.5 ish but wont drop any lower. what if I unplugged it and made my idle lower if that is possible ? would that be a bad idea

i'm fairly sure it's individual to each different intake manifold.

scratch that they are compatible. just need to make sure the mounting points are the same and that the wiring is 2 or 3 wire depending on yours.
