Final Drive 4.1 to 4.7 diff or gearbox?

To upgrade the 4.1 FD to 4.7 or 4.4 do you need change the FD in the diff or gearbox? kinda bit confused

Differential is where the final drive is. The final drive is the gearing on the axle.

Final drive and lsd are in the diff housing. On fwd its attached to the gearbox, but there is still a 'diff' housing per say. ( I think? Could be wrong lol )

Those ratios are the common diff (final drive) ratios.

You can change the ratio in the output stage of the transmission but this is a much bigger and much more expensive job.

Ah i get it now. FWD has in the gearbox ! RWD is in the diff. THANK GUYS!
