I have a favour to ask of some other Honda owners. I've got a 91 ED9 CRX. I've been scouring the interwebs and ebay for a set of Hood Dampers a-la Password JDM.

They have been discontinued and not one company has a set left. I even got to the point of making payment to one places then later got told they made a mistake and they had a del sol set, not Gen 2.

Long story short, the brackets are the same, it is basically just the length of the strut that changes. From the bolt placement I have a close guesstimation that I need a strut that ranges from 30mm bonnet closed to 43mm bonnet open.

I was wondering if anyone else has hood struts on another model if they could measure them and if they are the same size I might see if I can order a set for that model and get them on my car.

Thanks all!!

Thanks. Just not sure of the bracket set up on the actual hood dampers and if they'd go on any old strut that I'd buy. Also just realised it should say 30cm - 43cm above (or 300 to 430 mm obviously)

if your unsure if they will work id probably try and find a local store thar sells struts and take my brackets down to see if they will fit

I don't have the exact brackets unless I get one of these hood damper kits. 150-250 bucks. Rather know before I took the risk.

pretty sure those strut places have universal brackets too if you don't have brackets
