My S is finally done, tuned by BYP Performance. Many thanks to Jimmy & Benny. They did an awesome job with fantastic service.
The car now made 233kw with 98 fuel. I like my S more now and it's quick.

You probably want to visit S2ki. There's two SCs for sale there and some very knowledgeable and helpful people there too. One with a very similar name to mine. ;)

You must be careful though, if you don't ask the right questions apparently he will find any opportunity to mock you~

Oh, he'll mock you anyway. It's just sometimes there's a gem of information in that ridicule. ;)

I am getting that sos sc kit from that guy on s2ki.
The sell seems to be a very nice guy. Now I am looking for ecu and injectors to run with this kit. Since I don't want to push the car too hard. Around 230 to 250 kw I am happy running e98 fuel. I was advised that 650cc injectors are enough. Ecu I was told that Hondata k pro is the best. Is that true? I might tune my car with Toda performance when I get everything ready

I don't mind being mocked, as lOng as I can build up my s properly

E98? I feel a mocking coming on. ;)

The number after the E is the percentage ethanol. And you need some petrol just to start the thing (hence E85).

I think what you mean is 98RON. So good high octane petrol. If that's the case I'd suggest 750cc injectors. They work for me and will give you room to move if (well, when) you decide to push it a little more.

As to ECU, pick your tuner and go with the one he suggests.

Sorry being stupid. Still wondering which ecu to go. Heard that AEM Is not that reliable comparing with k pro, is that true?

Mine works alright.

Its not that AEM is not reliable, there's a reason that the majority of people in the states with a S use AEM. It depends on the tuner. If they know how to tune using AEM then your car will start one time every time. The only problem with AEM is that there isn't support in Australia should your tuner come across a road block - you'll need to entirely depend on the specialists in the states. If you decide to go Kpro, there are many things you have to change out that'll set you back roughly $300-400 - ask Ferrari, he has been tuned using KRPO. The most likely route you'll end up taking is using Haltech cause this is the ecu most popular in Australia. Take Auss2000's advice and go with what they're comfortable with using - that way your car will have a better tune and it'd be less likely that your engine will blow.

Word of advice - Choose your tuner then buy the ECU he recommends

Wow Benson, great advice.

As to Haltech, one downside - $$$.

sae

it might be worth haggling them down. Usually the tuner will be selling the ECU - which'll most likely be the haltech lol. You'll be able to benefit financially by purchasing the ECU they have to offer, and combine this with their tuning services for a discount. Otherwise, you'll have to source the AEM yourself which would set you back close to 1k [give or take depending on new/used and the version] then pay for the tuning.

Thanks for all advise, do you know anyone who tunes Haltech good in Syd?

Which you chose to ignore.

I think I will either choose hondata k pro or Haltech, as most of the tuners here sell Haltech.
My mate can sell me his K pro with all sensors and valve cover for 1600 which is not too bad. Tuning is around 800.
If I can find any shop can do a combo haltech plus tuning with 2000, I will prefer Haltech.
What do you think?

Hondata is crap and outdated. I've got a haltech on my super charged s2k and it's awesome. The fact that they are made in Australia is great too. 18 psi seems to be a lot to be running on stock internals though? Im running 12 psi on my vortech charger and getting 260 kw at the wheels

This is the first time I heard that Hondata is crap, why?
To run 12 psi, what size should the pulley be?

Hondata is crap and outdated.

Yeah, umm gotta say I'm not familiar with the Hondata but I don't think it's right to call it 'crap and outdated' without some evidence to back it up.

Toda doesn't tune anymore

Well Toda is a Japanese manufacturer. If you mean Toda Au, they don't do anything anymore if I heard correctly.

Thats pathetic and outrageously expensive. I'm not going to start talking about how terrible Adrian is, just google him up. Your results will be full of negative experiences with him. I'd steer far, far away.

One more time for the dummies: Carefully choose your tuner, then go with the ECU he recommends.

If you make a bad choice it won't matter what ECU you use it won't turn out nicely.

I know, ordered hondata k pro from US already. It's really pain in the axx to find a good hondata tuner in SYD. Heard different stories about different tuners from different person. Dont know who should i go for.

Here is some more advice: Go around speak to the workshops that specialise in Honda's. Look at their work in person and the cars they've built. Check out the results and their achievement. People can talk a lot of bullshit these days. Stick to a winning workshop and you'll get winning results!

^ Try out BYP. Pretty sure the price is good, and results are proven. Heck, check out Elliots S2K, although that wasn't SC it was still K-pro tuned and bosssssss!!!
