hi all,

am hoping to get some expert opinion on an issue i started noticing after an aftermkt muffler mod done to my CU2. particularly as my car is "cold", gradual accelerating from stop gets me vibrations seemingly from my gear shift area.

i am thinking it might be the muffler thats causing the problem. jobs done at glenroy exhaust (VIC) so i am pretty sure a decent job is done based on experiences other have had at that place.

under hard acceleration, the vibration isnt as pronounced and if the weather is warm or i have been driving the car for abit, then the vibration is mellow to non existent.

any ideas what i am dealing with here??

Possibly the CAT or Resonator, exhaust piping could be sitting too high up that its rubbing againsts the bottom chassis or shifter base.

Get the car on a hoist or safety jacks and try and see front to rear for any scrubbage of piping or parts.

Since they fitted a new muffler they probably had to lift and bend angles which holds the muffler and caused strain on the rest of the brackets on the exhaust.

Check your headers too and see if any is rubbing.
