Heeltoe had been talking about this or over a year. He finally got around doing it.

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/tech-articles/engine/intake-shootout-04-08-acura-tsx.html

The results:

3. Injen

2. CTE ICEBOX

1. K&N

Comment: I always suspected the icebox would make just as much if not more than the injen. Now it's official. Bahahahahaha

Ah nice mang. Ive had this dang K&N for years, only coz it was the only intake available back then for the CL9....LOL, but really its a pipe and a pod i dont think people would notice the power gains if any at all difference between brands. As for sounds.......LOL....its a pipe and pod man....spose it comes down to how good the marketing is for convincing people.

Makes me laugh when ppl are all like this brand is better than this brand coz it has more power and they can feel the gains........BAHAHAHAHA

After reading the article i just purchase a Typhoon Air Intake Kit model 69-0025TP from Amazon. I paid $223 shipped to Aus which i thought was a bargain.

Cant wait till it arrives.

Woot, gotta give it to Marcus for finally putting it through. Was hoping that he would have a stock with no resonator to compare, or at least stock vs best. Looks like the CT is the way to go for me, although I'll prob hold out till the CF version is available.

It's carbon fibre and it's new. Icebox used to be over $300 when it first came out.

not really concerned about peak power, i'm more impressed with the extra toque on the CT. not bad ..

So would any of you guys recommend the CT or Injen if you wanted a good sound, but not too noisy? Not interested in the minimal power gains

Why not k&N? It sound just about the same as injen, slightly cheaper (if you order from amazon), and gives quiet a bit more power?

CT sounds most like stock.

i bought a second hand cheap injen which will be installed soon. As i don't plan to get header, cat atm, i choose injen to have a good sound. Also, i like the black finishing pipe on injen lol

Ah, didn't relise. Damn. I knew that the CF would be more, but didn't expect it to be 3x more. Was hoping it would be around the 300 mark.

Still cost only 1/2 as much as a j's racing intake

J's Racing has quality, and performance to match. CT is better value, but it's fit finish is crap. According to Marcus, the CF is about as bad as the normal one.
