I have bought a 95 Honda about 2 months ago, since I have had pretty bad fuel economy, the O2 sensor was not changed during the major service, what are the benefits of changing it and how much could it improve fuel economy by ?

Benefits would be seen as:

Improvement in fuel economy,
Idle may improve,
A/F ratio will improve and ecu will self learn for improvement.

Unsure how much new o2 sensors cost

all of the above....
approx $100 from your local autobarn or supercheap...universal fit might be cheaper but will involve modifications
or ebay = 60 buxs for a denso one :)

What car/engine were you running, and what L/100KM were you doing before/after?

And did you go OEM or aftermarket? Price?

Have you had the short & long term fuel trim's reset as well? If you haven't I would strongly recommend as you need to remember that just becauae you replace the sensor, the ecu won't know that you have.

The ecu will also not self learn that the O2 sensor has been changed. Yes you will see a minor increase in fuel economy, but without reset fuel trim, you won't get the most out of it

Refresh me . Sorry how to reset ecu

unhook your battery for 5 mins or remove a fuse in engine bay fuse box.

To reset fuel trims on an OEM ECU, you will need either a Honda scan tool or Snap on diagnostic machine. I am fairly sure other scan tools can do it, but I personally only use Snap On.

To reset ECU via removing fuse, take out the 7.5A radio use in the engine bay fuse box (tho I DO NOT guarantee.this will reset fuel trims)

Removing fuses will have no difference from disconnecting the battery. Id disconnect for 10-15 minutes. Don't forget radio codes, Audio tune before disconnection. Also a simple wipe with clean cloth can do wonders on the 02 sensor!
