View Full Version : K24a3 coolant leaking into inlet ports with rbc manifold???

soo i got the car all filled up with fluids today.. connected up the radiator. wired up the converision harness and uploaded a map onto k pro. Started the car up. it ran ok for about 3 seconds then started running on 2 cylanders. i looked under the car and it was pouring out coolant from the headers!!! :( coolant is somehow getting into the intake ports. i mean alot!!! it doesnt seem to be getting into the oil or anything. has anyone had this problem before :( ? using a k24 and an rbc setup with hybrid throttle body..
Any tips or knowledge would be greatly appreciated!!

What intake manifOld gasket did u use ? Did you make sure it lined up
With all ports ?

i am using the hondata thermo gasket.. and yes it was lining up.. and i put sealant around both sides of the coolant ports also.

I believe it is not modified/cut for k20.

you mustve routed wrong coolant hose

What cylinder has coolant in it?
Take off the manifold and get some pictures up

From looking at the picture, remove the IACV coolant pipes. That maybe your problem

im assuming you didnt hook up the catback and then you saw coolant coming out from header?
and you could also see water in the intake manifold?
at which part of IM did you see coolant
from tb to all 4 ports or?

soo after a bit of thinking.. Cause i am a noob and i rushed some things.. I realise i have connected up a coolant line to the vacuum port on the iacv. (i didnt realise it was a vacuum port as im new to this k series stuff). Removed the hose and re started it. It spluttered for a bit but then started running smoothly apart from extremely high idol.. Thanks everyone for helping out!!

off topic, but nice engine bay. did u run your engine and charge harness where the heater lines used to be?
