eg2 to eg5 drive shaft problem!

Hey guys, i recently mangled my lhf half shaft on my d16a8 engine. I went to hondwreck and the guy there said a half shaft off a eg2 delsol would 100% work.. i came back home installed the drive shaft, torqued everything up.. then next minute bam whole lot of jerking and grinding later hoisted the car up again and now i see the whole spider gear as ripped through the boot.. my problem is that i insisted to the hondwreck guy that eg2 drive shaft wont work because its shorter.. what should i do?.. what will be my options?

They are responsible for the problem, If they sold you the wrong shaft. But if it's right drive shaft, and the installion is kinda wrong somehow, than you are the responsible

afaik, all delsol in Australia came out with a b16 engine, so knowing that, a driveshafts from a b series box would definitely not work with a d series box. ask the wreckers for a free replacement of all the parts you broke due to the incorrect half shaft lol
