i got a problem for my s2k, it like druing am driving every time i stop on traffic light, the engine always cut itself, before the engine stop, the car has saking little bit.if any one know how to fix the problem please le tme know as soon as possible.thanks everyone:confused:
Not to sure of what you mean! Is this what you are trying to say?
1.Once you come to a stop
2.Your revs will drop down to about 200 to 500 rpm
3.It will then feels like as thou the car is shaking
4.Once the revs returns back to normal i.e 900rpms
5.The car feels normal once again
ok, if this is what you are experiencing. Then a dirty throttle body is what you have, it is very common with the s2000.
You need to go and see the mechanic and get your throttle body clean.
Good luck and hope this fixes your problem.....
what i try to say is once i stop the car,the revs drop from 500 or 600 rpm to 0 then the engine stop too, after that i have to start the engine again.
Sorry mate! If that is the case i would take it to your local Honda dealer and get them to check it out.Are you in Sydney?
yes i did, they said the car not problem at all

if it was me, id take it to hannies, and leave the car with them overnight, or for a couple of days. Tell them that it mainly happens when the engine is cold, and get one of the guys to drive it around in the mornings. Only way to ensure that it happens while there is someone qualified in the car.
yeh ,that will be good idea,i think will bring my car to the shop, leave over night
i think he stalling the car. lol. ask one of the mecahnics to sit with you when you driving, and see what happens.

have you disconnected your battery recently?
if you have then it's the ecu trying to relearn the idle parameters
it will take around 7 cycles of start/stop for this to stop
if you haven't done anything to the battery then it's could be the map sensor, a blown ecu back up relay or a stuffed idle motor. Go to the s2ki.com website and do a search on these issues. There are abundant of info on these issues and you have to trust what you read if you find something as drastic as the "map whack"...good luck.

hi... I had the same problem...
but it only stalled when the A/C is turned on...
normally it would only get to the point where it almost stalls but the RPM then goes up again...
I was not intending to fix the problem when I installed a voltage stabiliser, but the problem went away... (lucky... =D)
it never stalls again when the A/C is on, and the RPM only dropped a little bit...
When the A/C is off there's no problem at all
I know lots of people say that it's just a gimmick which would do nothing, but hey at least it fixed my problem.
just thought you wanna try that too :D
it only cost $100 (in melb)
and you might also want to get ground wires
and maybe a better battery
thx eveyone, coz i am in oversea at the monment, but i will go back in 2 wks
