Hi guys,

Im looking to convert my lights in my climate control in my 98 prelude to LEDs. My question is are the lights the same as the american climate control? I know the US and Aus\JDM have different units so im not to sure what size to get, would I order the same lights as their climate control? I called Honda to see if they new the bulb size. All the guy could tell me was there were 4 small bulbs (4.95 each) and 1 slightly larger bulb (5.95 each). Im guessing its 4 3mm bulbs and 1 5mm bulb. If anyone can confirm sizes that would be a massive help.

best way is to take it out and look, you will need to get 3mm leds if you want to change the active light on the buttons and usualy the backlighting will be either t5 or t10 bulbs, sometimes its better to use 3mm leds with resistors to get better light dispersion but that depends on the position of the backlighting and the type of bulb used.

what colour are you planning on going?

Yeah that's about right from those guys at Honda at woolloongabba
Don't know much
They had to ask me one day, "what car is the H22A from, we don't know engines here mate"
Good to know!

you may have trouble changing the colour of the digital display in the middle, it looks like it has an amber filter on it. changing it to blueish green or red shouldnt be too difficult but ive yet to figure out how to make white light from amber, cellophane is the easiest way to change the colour of those displays as far as im aware.

i changed my civic cluster and climate control from amber/orange to white, makes it much nicer imo, really dont like amber backlighting for some reason lol.
