Hey guys,

So I've been wondering lately if I have an LSD box so without pulling shit off the engine I did some research and found out that the s4c box (which I have) has an LSD.... The thing is unlike my mates (s80..which I understand is optional LSD?) both wheels don't spin when jacked up and one is turned and sometimes when it tripods in the front, the raised wheel will spin....

Based on what I've described, a)do I have an LSD, and b) what gearbox oil do people run/recommend for these boxes

Cheers, sorry for nubness

Only way to make sure is to take both driveshafts out of the gearbox - and look thru. If there is a bar across its a standard open diff. If its a OEM Torsen LSD you will be able to see straight through it.

What car? What gearbox? What engine? The both wheels spinnning dont happen until its required to. Something liek 80km/h+ or something along those lines. You could always weld your gearbox. lul

your gearbox does not have LSD its an engine from ek4/em1/eg6. all without LSD factory. If they did the gbox wouldnt be going for peanuts. the b16a from the JDM ef9 i think is the one with LSD from a b16a.

Even if it does have LSD it will have a big black stamp on it saying "LSD"
