Headlight adjusting

Guys

CL9 Euro base model, non projectors (just H1 bulbs). I have put some Philips +100% bulbs in there in an effort to try and fix up the woeful lighting this car has.

I have searched the forum and used the adjusting screws to modify it but the issue I'm having is that I can't get the low beam light high enough even with the screw wound the entire way it will go to move the beam 'up'. On top of this now the high beam is chasing possums up trees because it is too high. Essentially I need to lower the high beam but raise the low beam, and from what I can see there's only one screw that adjusts both. Am I missing something?

IIRC you adjust them together.

are you dead sure your low beam is too low? Maybe one of the headlight mounting brackets is stuffed. Does the headlight wobble?

Yeah the low beam is ridiculous, not happy with it at all. The headlight doesn't have any obvious damage and nothing is loose etc. I did use one of the Invision headlight restoration kits on the lights a few months ago with good results.

I may pull the Philips bulbs out and retry the originals, I doubt this will fix anything but at least it rules it out as a potential cause.

Does the headlight look like it fits correctly?

Is it possible that during the headlight restoration you pushed the entire headlight down a bit?

Nothing obviously wrong with regards to how the headlight fits. I have been using a 10mm socket to adjust them but might try a small philips head to get a bit more control over it.

How low do you mean by too low? I think the proper setting is that the lights cut off should be the same at 3m and 10m, or basically the same height at all distances. Nothing above perfectly horizontal.

I think tis' got something to do with all the reflectors and whether they line up

One of my lights the reflectors linr up property and one doesnt, the other only produces half as much light.
