My car jsut stopped right in the middle of Manly HELP!!!

Hay guys

My car just stopped driving up a hill in Manly

Its got full power starter motor turns but won't even kick over once

what could it be?

Does the car turn over AT ALL ? Do you have fuel in your fuel tank ?

Ok half a tank of fuel

Nope she won't kick over at all but the starter motor sound like it dose on a normal start

I put my foot down but and pump but nothing happends

not really

mail relay can be fixed free, or minimal charge. this will stop fuel pump from working

dizzy can get costly, commonly ICM ( ignighter ) or the coil will fail causing no spark.

to go just like that I would tend to say coil, but have it looked at by a mechanic

coil = $180 ish , igniter ( another main part in dizzy that fails ) = $180 ish too....main relay cost about $50 too from honda or less from a wrecker....either way get it checked out

depends on the mechanics hourly rate.
often seen coils test OK by resistence but fail to produce the goods.
ICM will just be dead if faulty. but sometimes trick you coz they restart when they cool down, same with the mail relay, heat dependant when they are bad.

best to replace both coil + ingiter in one hit JUST to be sure.

But , do make sure that it is the problem...test with a friends vti dizzy ( same model etc etc) and see if teh problem is rectified....

Guy up the rood quoted me $1200 installed :thumbdwn:

Lube Moblie $545 installed complet dizzy :thumbsup: ($29 on top for weekend work)

For once Lube is thre cheapest by fay WTF?

its becasue that item is not an original HONDA part / and or rebuilt.

Hopefully , it came with a warranty....as in the future soon you will be in the same situation again.

the Honda Dissy didn't last to well so why not take the chance :o
