hey guys planning to get a rear x-bar for my dc2, but the ones i see says i need to remove my rear seat belts. My mates EK had one which retained rear seat belts, it was a no name.

does anyone know where I can get x-bar for my dc2 that can retain my rear seat belts ? or if theres some kind of bracket or way to mod it ?

Thanks

I think u need extended bolts for the two top seat belt ones. You can find them at WDS on the horsly drive.

U take the seat belt bit out, put the x bar on then put ur seat belt on top, if bolts are too short, go get longer high tensile bolts.

Definitely can't not mount ur seat belt!

Unless u weld the bars onto chassis, otherwise this is for 2seater

looking at pics on google, do you think i could remove that bolt from the picture and just place that seat belt bracket between the x bar thing and the plastic trim ?

u can definitely run seat belts with an xbar. if for some reason your bolts r too short just buy some for $2 at a fastener/nut n bolt shop

^ dont think so, most x bars for dc2s require the seat belt removed.and even if you could, i doubt you could still fit the seats in, it would be a struggle.

Compliance and ADRs

You can remove the seats, but the vehicle must still have its restraints and anchor points.

Do you guys think from a performance point of view that the extra 2 bars straight from C pillar to c pillar and from strut to strut is needed with the X brace?
Not interested in looks just track work

U can run seats belts even with your old bolts depends on what brand x bar you get

helps to triangulate the forces making its stronger and stiffer, other wise that area is a massive whole and just a place the flexxing to occur.

hence pretty much all race cars with custome chassis have siagnal bars going though them becasue triangles are the strongest shape in the book.
by having 4 its even better then 2 seperate bars!.

i thought ADR specifies that the seating capacity cannot be changed. whether it be more or less

You can get mod plates for changing the no of seats available if you remove any.

No shit...

That's how you can legally change the number of seats in your car and not get defected/void your insurance.
