What can I do to make more power outta it? Leave forced induction outta the question and same applies to an all-motor rebuild :) what are my options besides shaving the head for more compression, the usual intake/header/zorst and playing around with the fuel map.
I know porting could help but..it's a tad expensive than what I wanna spend :D
Thanks folks!
lighten flywheel apparently
do all those things you mentioned then an aftermarket ecu and get it tuned

BTW ur engine isnt a ZC. its a d16a...
And , dont post here for a "ZC build" guide - as most doods here love VTEC BABY only lol...( NOT a good thing)
Make ur engine breathe easier - FULL exhaust ( headers, CAT, piping + muffler ) and CAI , and filter...then move onto flywheel , camgears + cams , new ECU etc etc.
Porting isnt expensive - shoudlbe around $200 or 300 depending on who u use -
TAKE my advice , and check out www.d-series.org or www.thezcr.com
BEst of luck - from a fellow ZC enthusiast.

ZC based engines can produce over 200bhp. BTW boys, we DID get ZCs in the earliest of our CRXs :P
For 200bhp you need about 6-7 grand though.
A guy in S.A. did it with his 3rd gen JDM Si hatch and Ted Wrigg was shooting for it with his ZC powered ED/EF Civic.
Pistons, ECU, intake, exhaust, rods, head... etc, etc
