Hey guys just want to know the pros & cons of installing a skunk2 IM on a dc2 WITHOUT a tune? Like i know it changes the dual runner into just 1 but are there any faults in not tuning it? Thanks in advanced!

Ive herd there's nothing but losses changing the intake manifold on a Stock or close to stock DC2R. if u have a VTIR get the Type R intake manifold and throttle body.

Unless its boosted or full internal work done dont do it! Unless u going VTIR to TYPE R spec!

Pros - More noticeable VTEC crossover. Looks better in engine bay

Cons - Your car will feel less torquey from 4400-6000 approx, if it is on a VTiR DC2.
No major damages though...

you cant bolt on the type R intake manifold (pr3 head) to a VTiR engine (p72 head) it doesnt fit.

thats why you have to buy aftermarket blox, skunk2 etc.

Review for you sir:
Instead of skunk 2, i went with blox itm instead after a full dept of research over several nights of no sleep..
I found out they weren't too much in difference and blox is a lot cheaper..with that money i saved i got a CAI to match it up
Installed it..they were definitly a loss of power, loss of torque, i went drags before and after but driving might of made a difference but my results were
14.7, 14.8 stock manifold & short ram intake
14.9 & a lot of flat 15's with blox and cai
Theres not much difference but low end suck balls.

i still don't have a tune, i been running without one for 1 month now..
I heard i should gain a bit from it after a tune..a great budget mod they said....

Looks better then the stock manifold too..a bonus
& you run rich cause of the screwed up A/F mixture
