hi,
my carwash machine @ work chewed up my passenger side wiper arm..
currently got just the driver's wiper working..
i saw on another gen 2 near my work he had his driver's side wiper arm located in the middle..
(for an 88 crx gen 2)
in other words he had one wiper arm wiping the full screen..
does anyone know how to do this properly as in getting the wiper to wipe a semi-circle rather than the usual quarters..
is it a case of resetting it's position? or an adjustment of the wiper motor? or a totally new motor?

any help in this would be appreciated..
p.s. i know this would be considered a defect.. but yeh.. i dont wanna buy another arm!
also i've been told this is an old DIY thing.. any articles anywhere??
thanks in advance..

im sure he took off the driver side one a.a.aaa.and moved the passenger one up more so its 45degree a.a.aaa.angle instead of flat. so his only usin one wiper instead of 2

u just undo teh nut ontop ( 14 mm i think) , remove the RHS wiper , and move the LHS wiper about 45degreess up - so at OFF it sits midway. When it goes on - its JDM hektick wiper time lol.

the gen 2 honda prelude ( first of the pop up lights ) has a single wiper located in the centre, i think aswell it may depend on the wiper motor as it will travel further than a normal one then travel back. this might be something to source the parts from. hope to be of some help

I knew how to do a propper single wiper conversion on a MK1 Golf.. but havent inspected the workings of my CRX yet.

but to make the wiper work properly - not this 45degree shit - you actually have to modify the arm and linkage of the wiper, extend certain bits and shorten others - that way you get the propper 180 degree wipe action.

I like the single wiper conversion - but I think mate - forget the idea and get a new wiper Arm from a Wrecker...
