Dc4 Gsi fuel gauge help

Is there some kind of trick to it? I have done a swap over of all the instruments and everything works perfectly but the fuel gauge it just drops straight to empty and I have a full tank. Any ideas would be appreciated giving me great frustration haha

Figure it out if anyone else has this issue the ignition has to be on when inserting the plugs into the back of the cluster it doesn't like when its off haha

Try with another cluster, and keep a Gerry can with fuel incase u get stuck somewhere u dont wana be.
