generally, 4PSI more than the manufacturer rating on the door card

I put 40PSI in 215/45/17

I wouldn't put more than 36psi in unless u know the tool is correctly calibrated (not like the dodgy servo ones) most stock standard cars recommend not exceeding 40psi anyway

34 Front and 32 Rear on my 45 profile tyres.

Just drove from Brisbane to Melbourne on that setup. Comfort and fuel efficiency were good. 550-600 out of a tank.

Usually put around 38 hot, is that around same as 36 cold?

Pump it a bit higher to account for the air that gradually leaks out ay

We recommend 36, less will provide slightly better comfort in return for slightly less fuel economy..

forgot to mention most manufacturers recommend lower for that added comfort

Depends on the tyre sidewall thickness and height as well. For 195/55 R15 (RE001 on our other car), I use 34 psi cold for street comfort and 36 psi cold if I don't mind a bit of harshness but want to save some fuel on freeway trips.
